The Series 230 engine is a turbocharged, irreversible, single action, four stroke, in-line, direct injection, and medium speed diesel one with a charging cooler, capable of being operated on heavy fuel oil of 380cSt/50°C or of 3500 sec.Red.No.1 /100°F.

The engine with 6 or 8 cylinders and with the output of 660 to 1324kW. 6230 is a product developed by our company in cooperation with the Shanghai Marine Diesel Engine Institute on the base of the successful experience in diesel engine design and use, on the principle of assimilation of advanced technologies and improvement upon of them, and by adoption of the advanced structure of the other engines, with many features such as a simple outline, reasonable construction, reliable performance, easy operation and maintenance.
